Print & in-store compliance

Compliant shelf cards, straight from live inventory.

Design a product card once and print a full sheet on the standard Avery stock you already buy — shelf tags, jar tags, deli-case cards, POS cards. Each one carries a tax-aware price bound to your current inventory, so the card at the case stays accurate and compliant.

One sheet, ten cards — shown 2-up. Each card carries the item price and the total cost including tax, ready for the case.

Single-product cards on standard Avery stock — strain, type, THC, tax-aware price, and compliance text resolve fresh against each store’s inventory.

How it works

Design once. Print the whole case.

01

Design the card once.

Build a branded card in the admin portal — strain, attributes, dominance, price, compliance text.

02

Pick a store at print time.

Choose any location; its live products and tax-aware prices flow into the template.

03

Print on Avery stock.

Run a sheet of the perforated business-card stock you already buy. Reprint only what changed.

Two layouts

One product, or a whole list.

Single-product cards.

One product per card, image-forward: headline strain, brand, a designed dominance icon pinned to any corner, an attribute stack of up to five rows (Type, THC, CBD, weight, vendor), a tax-aware price, and a compliance footer.

List cards.

A mini price sheet on every card — products grouped by brand, category, vendor, or weight (with automatic flower weight-bucketing), in detailed, compact (name — price), or classic dotted (name ..... price) line styles.

Compliance-ready by design

The details that survive the printer.

Avery-ready templates.

8876 (10/sheet) ships as the validated default and covers identical 5371 white stock; full-bleed 5881 (8/sheet) is built in. The registry extends to badges, index cards, and postcards.

Designed dominance icons.

Ten icon sets — with or without text — render strain dominance as more than a dot, pinned inline or to any corner of the card.

Printer calibration.

Corner crosshairs, half-inch edge ticks, and per-card perforation outlines defeat the printer drift that ruins perforated stock — confirm alignment before you commit a sheet.

Unique or Fill modes.

Print one card per product to label the whole catalog, or fill an entire sheet with up to 50 copies of one tag.

Tax-aware pricing.

Any price field — eighth, quarter, ounce — with auto or fixed decimals, resolved with store-level tax so the card shows the total cost your compliance rules require and matches the kiosk screen.

Compliance text footer.

A dedicated disclaimer line on every card for state-required language, kept inside the safe-area so it never lands on a cut edge.

New York display-pricing compliance

A digital menu isn’t compliant on its own.

New York requires that every item displayed for sale inside the dispensary carry its own price tag or placard — showing both the item price and the total cost including tax, right at the product. A menu, digital or paper, is additive. It does not substitute for the per-item placard at the display.

That is exactly what a Print Cards single-product card is: a per-item, tax-inclusive card that prints on standard stock and updates with your inventory — instead of being hand-typed every time a price moves.

“Any items that are displayed for sale in the interior of the dispensary must have a price tag, sign, or placard stating the item’s price and total cost (including tax).”

NY Office of Cannabis Management — Guidance for Adult-Use Retail Dispensaries, §11 (Menus & Prices). Codified at 9 NYCRR § 123.10(m), which also requires displayed product to sit in a secure, locked case.

New York is the most explicit on this today; Arizona requires prices visible at the register, while most states focus on package labeling. Either way, a per-item, tax-inclusive card is the simplest path to a compliant display anywhere you operate.

FAQ

Compliance & card questions, answered.

What stock do the cards print on?

Standard, off-the-shelf Avery perforated business-card sheets. The 2″ × 3½″ Avery 8876 (10 per sheet) is the validated default and also covers the identical Avery 5371 white stock; a full-bleed 5881 option (8 per sheet) is built in. No special media to source.

How do the cards line up on perforated stock?

A built-in calibration mode prints corner crosshairs, half-inch edge ticks, and per-card perforation outlines so you can confirm alignment before committing a real sheet — solving the printer-drift problem that otherwise wastes stock. An optional safe-area inset keeps compliance text clear of the cut edge.

Do the cards stay in sync with my prices?

Yes. Cards carry no stored data — they bind to a Product List and resolve against the store's current inventory and tax at print time, the same data that drives your screens and print menus. When a price changes, reprint just what changed instead of redoing the wall.

Can I print only a subset of products?

Yes. Bind the card to any Product List with its filters and sorts — “new strains this week,” “one vendor only,” “flower over 20% THC” — and only those products flow onto the sheet. Use Unique mode for one card per product, or Fill mode to print many copies of one.

Does a digital menu satisfy New York's price-display rule?

No. New York requires that any item displayed for sale inside the dispensary carry its own price tag, sign, or placard stating the item's price and the total cost including tax — at the product. A menu, digital or paper, is additive and does not substitute. Print Cards produces exactly that per-item, tax-inclusive card.
