How Will Daily Life Be Different Once The COVID-19 Threat Subsides

Let’s tackle one of the big $64,000 questions in 60 seconds today:  How will daily life be different once the COVID-19 threat subsides?  Will people still get together in groups?  Will the next generation know what life was like before the pandemic?  How will the world change with hundreds of thousands of fewer people in it, if that many people succumb to the illness?  Is the silver lining in the drop-in human activity going to be the key to solving our environmental problems?  Now I sound trippy going down a path of too many questions.  Pump the brakes, Shawn, focus.

Many people have opined on the subject of whether and how life will go back to normal.  My prediction:  People will still go to restaurants and shop but will be reluctant to do so and it will happen less often.  So, when people do venture out, as a retailer, you’ve got to make it worth their while and create a memorable experience for your customers.  As painful as the stay-at-home orders are for business, you’ve got an opportunity to use the extra time to upgrade your store.  Start by rounding up and pulling down the Porn posters and calendars, and the scattered pamphlets in the break room and under the counter and toss them in the recycling.  Alphabetize the stickers on the counter.  Then get to the important stuff:  Ask your customers what they want and need.

Under current circumstances, your customers need access to digital menus from the safety of their cars in the drive through line (doesn’t your dispensary have a drive through??), and the online order form at home for curb-side pickup.  If you’re looking for areas where you can make improvements in your dispensary, GreenScreens is here to support you with ideas and logistics.

Customers might also want to see newer, higher resolution screens with laugh-out-loud content, because humor is undoubtedly essential to getting through the crisis with your mental health intact.  Cannabis?  Essential, even the government says so.  Make sure you’re well stocked at home.

Looking forward to sharing some Glueball with my friends again soon . . .
